Job Title: Junior – Pottery Painting Studio
Location: Barleylands, Billericay
Job Type: Sundays plus extra days during School Holidays
Reports to: Owner/Studio Manager

About Us

Peacock Pottery Barn is a vibrant, hands-on pottery painting studio where creativity meets community. We specialise in helping guests of all ages create lasting memories - whether it’s painting pottery, taking baby handprints, or customising special keepsakes. We're currently seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and hard-working Junior to join our team and bring energy, organisation, and creativity to the studio, one day per week.

Job Summary

As a Junior Studio Assistant, you will help customers have a great studio experience while supporting the day-to-day running of the studio.

​

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist customers in the studio

  • Explain basic pottery painting techniques and studio processes

  • Prepare tables, paints, brushes, and materials before sessions

  • Clean and maintain studio equipment and work areas

  • Package finished pottery items for collection

  • Support children’s parties, workshops, and events

  • Handle payments and confidently use the computerised till system

  • Update and manage the computerised booking system, including customer reservations and party bookings

  • Restock supplies and keep displays tidy

  • Answer telephone calls professionally and deal with customer enquiries, bookings, and general information requests

  • Friendly, positive and approachable attitude

  • Good communication and customer service skills

  • Reliable, organised and willing to learn

  • Comfortable working with children and families

  • Ability to work Sundays and during busy holiday periods

  • Team player with hands-on attitude
