How it Works
Why let the kids have all the fun?
Pottery painting is a very relaxing and absorbing activity for anyone. Great talent or skill is not required. We have stencils, sponges and carbon paper for creative and less-creative alike and members of our skilled team of painters are on hand to help. You can have as much or as little guidance as you need. If you are new to pottery painting, a great way to start is to come along to one of our Evening Sessions or Creative Lunch Days where you can enjoy a glass of wine or a soft drink, included in your session fee, and meet other 'first timers'. You will be amazed at the beautiful, individual items you can easily create.
See our Events page for upcoming events.
A £6.00 session fee is charged per painter which covers the cost of the paints, glaze and the firing of your items. You then pay the cost of the items you choose to paint. Every item is individually priced and starts from £8.00.
We require an adult to stay at the Barn with children whilst they paint, but this is a great opportunity for you to join in too and paint something yourself.
To book a table either book online or call us on 01268 270892.
Step 1: Choose a Bisque
Come in, have a look around and choose a blank ceramic from the shelves. We have a large variety of bisques, including seasonal designs. There is a £6 per painter session fee (which covers the cost of the paints, glaze and firing) plus the cost of the item you choose to paint.
Step 2: Paint
Paint the ceramic with a design of your choosing using our underglaze paints. This is where you can really let your imagination run wild. We provide aprons and all our paints are non toxic, child friendly and washable.
Step 3: Glaze &Fire
When you have finished your design, leave it with us and we will glaze and fire your item.
Step 4: Collect
Return 7 days later to collect your finished masterpiece.
